Teaching is my passion and is almost like a religion to me. I consider teaching as one of the most honorable professions. As I look at the subjects especially in science I felt that there is a lack of hands on learning. This feeling and my genuine love of Science led to the founding of Edge of Science.
My teaching experience goes a long way back. I remember teaching my younger sister and cousin when I was around 8 years old. I always wanted to be a teacher and I did start off my career teaching undergrad classes.
I taught Electrical circuits, Computer organization and Power Systems in Engineering schools. My desire to teach computers lead me to complete a computer software course. Using this knowledge I taught computer courses at Brilliants Computers, India.
I further studied Computer Hardware and was a Senior Faculty trainer at Computer Garage Institute of Hardware Training. I completed my Novell Network Courses and I was one of the first 20 Certified Novell Instructor.
In Canada I have managed to continue to keep in touch with the subjects and the education program by tutoring kids in all subjects. Both my husband and I have encouraged our kids to research, experiment and learn science.
We actively participate in the Peel Region Science Fair every year.
